NO HARSHNESS ALLOWED

PROVERBS 15: 1

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Have you ever been in a conversation or confrontation with someone and both of you were hurling harshness towards each other?  As you reflect a moment, you can probably remember that moment as a time of anger, bitterness, hurt or disappointment.  Regardless of the emotion, it yielded nothing positive or meaningful.  The emotions and adrenaline were not worth the aggression and aggravation.

A true virtuous woman (Proverbs 31:26), uses her lips to uplift and bring about love.  Harsh words cannot be healed easily; such words/wounds are usually everlasting.  Damage control for harshness is more than a notion too.

Regretfully, children are the helpless victims of harshness from parents, teachers, coaches or some other person who they may depend on for care.  Yet, caring is not what they get at all.  Let’s us all be mindful of our words and the harshness that may return to us stamped:  VOID.  (Isaiah 55:11)
