Love Never Fails

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV

Love never fails – It hides a stream of faults.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proudIt does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongsLove does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truthIt always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Everything else will pass away, but love prevails over all things.

If we read this scripture closely, we see a great deal of life application.

What a powerful conclusion the scriptures teach us about love.

As for the shortcomings of others, we will understand that everyone handles life in varying capacities.

Therefore, we must be kind and patient.

We all have shortcomings that stretches someone’s patience with us.

  • When we love “genuinely,” we understand tolerance and patience.
  • When we love “genuinely, we have a natural desire to be kind and loving towards others.
  • When we love “genuinely,” we are never jealous of what others have; instead, we are happy for them and rejoice with them.
  • When we love “genuinely,” we don’t puff ourselves up and boast, we don’t seek attention for selfish motives.
  • When we love “genuinely,” we hurt when others hurt.
  • When we love “genuinely,” we don’t hold grudges; we learn to forgive.

All of the above requires daily practice and prayer.

Love never fails.
