Colossians 3:12-13 NIV
Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience,
Bearing with one another and , if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as The Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything; but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, which transends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Our society has forced us into a mindset and position of acquiring instant gratification.
A microwave society of 3-min meals; texting and driving; and not to mention the world of Google.
But God doesn’t work that way. In our daily walk of life, we must practice patience with others and patience with ourselves.
When we practice patience, we also develop a perfect peace within. When we practice patience, we open ourselves to growth.
The lack of patience disturbs our peace, stunts our growth and blurs our vision for seeing things in the true light.
As we review the definitions above, aren’t you glad that God is patient with us? Could you imagine what our lives would be like if God
Lacked interest in us; remained angry with us; got bored with us…we would be in a mess of turmoil.
Therefore, we must demonstrate patience in our Christian walk.
No patience – No peace. No peace – No patience.
