Luke 1:78-79
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.” Psalm 34:18The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
God wants us to live in peace and harmony. Even in the midst of this pandemic and other tribulations, we can live in peace and harmony. How can we get that peace? Seek Him. Seek Him through prayer (personal and prayer calls), Bible study, sermons, and blessing others; to name a few. When we seek God, we can manage the turbulents in our lives. When we seek God, we can depend on His power and not our limitations. When we seek God, we will hear a different sound from the world, and have a different vision from the world’s vision. God willgive us spiritual ears and spiritual eyes with the strength of the Holy Spirit to discern and guide us through a life of abundance.A simple prayer to say daily: “Lord help us in this dark world so that we may find and follow the path of peace.”
Special Commentary by Soror Sharrie Dean
Philippians 3:16 – Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Further defined on this our spiritual maturity level (our dedication to this SBAC DST early morning time of kneeling before the throne of Grace with our petitions, our intercessions, our praises); as well this our efforts of living in accord, with the same level of that knowledge and maturity in abundance.
And, so a part of our spiritual beliefs, our spiritual journey remaining at this level, our work should include looking into our minds, bodies and our souls…And, then reshaping this marvelous mixture of ingredients should include an ever evolving revisit and reshaping of our principles, which will heighten our journey…our lives. And we can do this via “Reflecting, Refining and Rewinding with Thanksgiving and Praise!”
As the driven servants we are, knowing that life is not always blooming roses, our reflecting, refining, and rewinding must be a continuous process, and in abundance for life’s abundance.
In REFLECTING – By revisiting what we do. Our giving the “benefit of the doubt” just a little bit more! Or, having not done so, and how we feel about that. Lifting up our hands sometimes while leading and placing us into our “What Would Jesus Do” or our WWJD mantra.
In REFINING – With adjusting the precedents we have set, or we need to set in referencing our principles…Are they far and wide? Or, narrow minded? Our motives…Our glorifying His name in our intentional walk with the Lord!In REWINDING – Gauging what we are doing to ourselves…to others. Recharting our steps as the song “Order my steps in your word please Lord.” Yes, all critical to our growth and happiness. The strength and quality of our lives. Our inner souls. The “Golden Rule” part of our character. The “Do unto others as we would have them do unto us” part of our living.
