Whose Wisdom do you Choose?

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful..

James 3:14-17 KJV

¹⁴ But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

¹⁵ This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

¹⁶ For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

God’s wisdom and man’s wisdom are not the same.  These scriptures of wisdom and Christian character never grow old.  Be careful of those with whom you seek counsel.  Sometimes we flock to those we like or who seem impressionable.  However, the true test is “who does God choose?”  Be prayerful about those who surround you.  Be prayerful about advice and wisdom tips you receive.  Guard your spirit from the things that are not pleasing in God’s sight.  Pray for God’s wisdom in your daily decisions and dealings.  Many have gone astray because they listened to the wrong people, surrounded themselves with the wrong people, and pursued “ungodly” guidance from the wrong people.  Let God guide you.  He knows all about you.
